When i plug my Bose earphones in to my iPhone 7 using the lightening to 3.5m adapter, the controls on the earphones no longer work (i.e. volume up/down, switch track etc). Has anyone else found this using the adapter and 3.5m earphones?

Other users have reported experiencing the same issue.
It may help, at least temporarily, to unplug and reconnect the headphones from / to the adapter.
Also check and carefully clear the Lightning connector on your iPhone of any debris.
